Star Technology ships via UPS, US Postal Service, and FedEx. Domestic (USA) shipments typically ship out the next business day and arrive within approximately 3-7 business days depending on location. International shipments are shipped via post and shipping times vary from 1-6 weeks depending on location. We use a flat rate table for shipping charges which are as follows:
WARRANTY AND RETURN MERCHANDISE INFORMATION
Please Read This! Important Information!
Unless otherwise stated, all products are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from the date of purchase. This warranty is extended by Star Technology (Star) or the manufacturer if a manufacturer's warranty is available. In the case of new products, as opposed to refurbished/used products, this warranty shall be one year from the date of purchase or greater if specified by the manufacturer. Star's responsibility under this warranty shall be limited to repair or replacement of the defective product. The option of replacement or repair is solely at the discretion of Star. This warranty shall be null and void if the product has been modified in a manner contrary to normal use, or has been used or stored in a way which adversely affects its performance.
SHIPPING PROCEDURES & POLICY
Freight costs for products returned to Star are the responsibility of the customer. For defective products covered under warranty, when returning to the customer Star will prepay return shipments of the repaired merchandise. We normally ship Priority Mail or UPS Ground. We can also send your shipment UPS Blue (2 day), UPS Red, or Federal Express at your option and at a corresponding additional charge.
CLAIMS FOR MISSING ITEMS
Any miscounts or claims for items missing from shipment MUST BE REPORTED WITHIN 7 DAYS OF RECEIPT OF SHIPMENT. After 7 days we assume that everything shipped is correct and the amounts are correct.
A COPY OF THE INVOICE MUST ACCOMPANY ANY TRANSACTION BETWEEN STAR AND THE CUSTOMER!
PLEASE HAVE YOUR INVOICE READY WHEN CALLING FOR ANY REASON REGARDING YOUR PURCHASE!
RETURNING DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE
Before returning any merchandise please contact us so that we may issue a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RA). The RA number should be prominently shown on both the shipping label and box. We cannot accept return merchandise shipped COD or without an RA number. Returned products should be shipped in their original shipping with all original materials. The customer is responsible for properly packaging and insuring returned products. The RA number is valid for 20 days only.
RETURNING MERCHANDISE FOR REFUND
We will be glad to accept returns for refund or credit within 20 days from the date of shipment if, for any reason you are not satisfied with the product. (This return policy does not apply to computer repair components or computer software products.) There will, however, be a 20% restocking charge for all products returned for refund during this 20 day period. No refunds or credit can be issued after this 20 day period. Shipping charges are not refundable. Be sure to call for an RMA# before returning any product.
